Once you have selected your basic building, it’s time to consider both exterior and interior options to customize and fully complete your order.

Glossary of Terms: EXTERIOR OPTIONS

Door Keeper: This traditional small cedar post with iron hardware is used to “keep” a door in a fixed, open position. This is useful when carrying items in and out of a building, or if you want to enjoy fresh air while working inside a building. Available in natural cedar or painted finish.

Door Ramp: We offer a single and double wide inclined door ramp to make it easier to wheel bikes, lawn mower, snow blower, wheel barrow, etc. inside a building.

Cupola: We offer two distinct cupolas. One is the more familiar roof top design; the other a distinct gable end design variation. Both serve the same purpose. Although not required, we strongly recommend one of our hand-built screened cupolas to complete your building.

Gable End Porch: A 4’ gable-end porch extension is available on a selection of our buildings. The addition of a porch is an ideal way to connect an outdoor space to your building. The porch extension is complete with a floor deck and corner cedar columns or fiberglass round columns.

Portico: A gable-roof portico is available to accommodate either a single or double door placed on the length of a gable roof building design.

Trellis: Our cedar wall-mounted trellis measures 24” x 78” and is ideal for climbing roses or flower vines.

INTERIOR OPTIONS:
The interior of a Gardensheds® building can be unfinished, semi-finished, or fully-finished. Interior functions range from basic utility storage to a fully inhabitable all-weather studio/office space. Interior spaces can be sub-divided with partition walls and doors. Insulation, electric, and bead board walls with casement and base trim create a fully finished appearance. Our buildings are easily cooled with a wall-mounted A/C unit, or heated with an electric space heater.

The decision to install lighting fixtures will depend on your building’s function and location. We offer both interior and exterior pre-wired lighting solutions, activated by a wall switch inside the building. A few of our favorites are detailed below.
